Wake up, crawl to the shower and slowly begin to open your eyes – next step a nice strong brewed coffee! Sound familiar?

Yes, that’s a version you can adopt BUT here is why I CHALLENGE you to mix it up. As the saying goes ‘Start as you wish to finish’. Now to put this into context, if you continue with the above routine, your day is off to a scattered start. You are stressed and your day only gets busier. Want to guess how your day will end? Feeling  inspired? Groundhog day wasn’t for me (and I know you have bigger aspirations too), so it’s time for some new habits.

It’s all about your MORNING RITUALS – which basically means starting your day with purpose and an attitude of healthy living.

So what does it look like? It’s an entire wake up process that covers your MIND, BODY and SOUL – I call it fine tuning your Internal Balance.

  • MIND – Gratitude
  • BODY – Warm water and organic Apple Cider Vinegar and Lemon
  • SOUL – Meditate

Follow the above process, throw in your own unique flair and create something that works for you. For example you can include exercise, stretching, smoothies, juicing, prayer, journal entries, yoga or affirmations – the list is endless. Your routine has to INSPIRE you otherwise it’s a waste of time.

I have to put my hand up and say my routine is somewhat fluid at the moment with baby Ruby on board. My little monkey doesn’t get mummy’s routine and likes to keep me on my toes. My meditation practise can happen in the morning or be substituted for an afternoon or evening session instead. The main goal here is to create new healthy lifestyle HABITS. As a side note – research shows that it takes 21 days to form a new habit.

So my CHALLENGE to you – start a morning ritual even if it’s just ONE thing. Keep going for 21 days and tell me how it’s impacted on your day.
